So as you can see we easily max out our bandwidth. </div><div><br></div><div>At this time there are a couple of us that would like to see, to start, our three in city sites. Call signs ve6hm, ve6uv, and ve6jn. My personal pie in the sky hope would be to tie in our ve6plp site south of the city at pigeon lake(about 72km). Lofty goals I know. To push that kind of distance I figure we will probably have to use 900MHz tho. </div><div><br></div><div>Immediate use would be to allow a D(free)-Star repeater to extend coverage south along hwy 2. an ametur radio based microwave IP network. Unfortunately we do
not have the advantage of terrain here like you guys do, we do
have access to some decent sites. Our vision for a system out
here is two fold. 1 it would allow us to expand digital voice
networks(D-Star, possibly DMR as there is some interest locally.
2 it would give us a network independent of public
infrastructure(asides from power). </div>
