
<html><head><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"></head><body style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; line-break: after-white-space;" class="">Hello All,<div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">I’ve recently been wrapping up a personal project to receive the HRIT service (1.7GHz digital transmission) from the GOES-17 (AKA GOES-West) geostationary weather satellite. Through this my system is picking up high resolution images of earth, as well as a number of text products (forecasts/discussion/alerts/etc) from the EMWIN (Emergency Managers Weather Information Network).</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">This system is running at my home and makes a nice addition as an on-network service for HamWAN (also available to the general internet as well). Please feel free to check it out at: <a href="http://goes.k7nvh.com" class="">http://goes.k7nvh.com</a></div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Currently I have the page set up to display the last 24 hours of data. I might consider adding an option to look back farther in the future, but for now this is where I’ve got it set.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Bandwidth warning, some of the images, especially full disk images can be very large (~50MB), I recommend not trying to grab these on your phone’s data plan.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Nigel</div></body></html>
